Palm-lined shopping street with boutiques on El Paseo in Palm Desert near Indian Wells

Shopping

El Paseo and beyond.

The desert's best shopping street is ten minutes from Indian Wells.

Indian Wells has almost no retail of its own, so residents shop on El Paseo in neighboring Palm Desert, the Coachella Valley's best-known luxury shopping street. Saks Fifth Avenue, international fashion houses, home design showrooms and blue-chip art galleries line the boulevard within a short drive of town. For something more village-scaled, Old Town La Quinta's boutiques sit just east of the city line.
